Looking for custom shelving in Ghana that goes beyond a standard flat bookshelf? THE GRID is our answer — a large-scale cube-grid shelving system built in rich walnut-tone finish, designed to follow the exact shape of your room, including sloped ceilings and tight corners that standard furniture can’t handle.
Most shelving units are built as simple rectangles, which works fine in a standard room but falls apart the moment your space has an angled ceiling, an alcove, or any kind of irregular wall. THE GRID was built specifically to solve that — the cube pattern can be shaped to follow a sloped ceiling line exactly, while still keeping every individual cube square and usable for storage or display.
What goes into THE GRID:
- Full cube-grid construction, with each cube cut and joined individually for a clean, precise pattern
- Custom-shaped top edge that follows sloped ceilings or angled walls exactly, no wasted or awkward gaps
- Rich walnut-tone wood finish throughout
- Optional hidden drawer detail built into the shelving line for discreet extra storage
- Fully customizable size, cube dimensions, and finish to match your space
THE GRID works well as a full-wall statement shelving unit, a room divider, a library-style storage wall, or built-in shelving for an awkward architectural space that regular furniture just doesn’t fit. The hidden drawer option adds practical storage without breaking the clean visual pattern of the cubes.
As with every piece of custom shelving we build in Ghana, THE GRID is made to order. We take your room’s exact measurements, including any slopes, angles, or alcoves, and build the cube pattern to match precisely, rather than working from a fixed rectangular size.
Why custom over a standard bookshelf:
A standard flat-pack shelving unit simply can’t handle a sloped ceiling or an irregular wall; you either end up with a gap at the top or a unit that doesn’t fit at all. Building custom means the shelving follows your room’s actual shape, turning what would otherwise be dead or awkward space into fully usable storage and display area.
